Surroundings

Domaine de Cassagnole" is located in the small village of St. Denis. This village can be found in the south of France, in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, department "le Gard". Calculated from Brussels, it is about 900 km away. If you wish to arrive by TGV, a pick-up service is possible at the station in Nîmes.

You have numerous relaxation options in the beautiful region. Below you will see some different options for a great activity or excursion.

St. Denis, St. Victor de Malcap, St. Jean de Maruéjols, Rochegude and Tharaux: Some southern French villages that offer the charms of the countryside. They give the colors and scents of unspoilt nature and the freshness of the Céze and its pebble beaches and the caves. Green holiday in peace and quiet, but also hiking, tennis, horse riding, petanque, ....

St. Ambroix: Closest town, where all shopping can be done. Its large colorful market, every Tuesday, allows you to stroll around for hours among the countless stalls.

Barjac: Beautifully restored town. Well known for its antique market twice a year (Easter and August 15).

La Roque sur Cèze: Beautifully restored historic village, built on a rock. The Cèze River flows at the foot of the rock. When you drive over the Roman bridge you should definitely see the Cascade de Sautadet. These waterfalls are a true natural wonder.

Goudargues: Beautiful village, intersected by a river.

Grottes de Cocalière: Very beautiful caves, which can be visited by train.

Anduze: known for its tourist sites.

Bois de Païolive: Very beautiful area for cycling and/or walking. Before retreating, the sea has accumulated sedimentary rock over millions of years. Sun, rain and wind have shaped strange sculptures. That is where the Païolive forest originated.
